Our Lady Star of the Sea is enlivened by the efforts of our dedicated parents through the Home School Association (HSA). Our HSA is responsible for supporting the principal, faculty and staff in various ways. Such support includes fundraising, running social events and coordinating school activities throughout the year.
At OLSS, the HSA conducts several annual fundraisers. The money earned from these fundraisers stays at OLSS and is utilized in the best interests of our students. An enrichment program designed to complement the curriculum is tailored annually and funded through the HSA.

Gift Wrap
The annual sale gives the children the opportunity to sell family and friends gift wrap, magazine subscriptions, and gift items. This year’s sale will kick-off the week of September 13.

Fall Fair
The Fall Fair is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Many families enjoyed a day filled with fun, wholesome activities. Prices for rides and games at Fall Fair range between $1 - $2 and food is available at a low cost. We’re also planning to repeat last year’s Chili Cook-off! Check back for more details.
Election Day Bake Sale
The Election Day Bake Sale in November provides the opportunity for those voting at OLSS to purchase a snack, including soup, salads, various baked goods, coffee, tea, and other beverages.
Book Fair
A very exciting fundraiser for kids and adults alike. The Scholastic Book Fair in December allows for the opportunity for books to be purchased, with proceeds from the sale going to the HSA. During the book fair, OLSS has held the very popular Starlight Story Time. At this event, parents are encouraged to bring their children (in PJs)! The children enjoy stories and a snack while parents have the opportunity to shop.
Family Fun Night
Keep an eye out for this fun-filled event held in March. Over the years we’ve enjoyed incredible performances from Simon Says to a Steel Drum Band. Bring your family and friends to this fun evening.
Spring Gala
Get ready to sail with Our Lady Star of the Seas! Enjoy an evening exploring the seven seas through food, wine, and auction items. Details to follow!
